  • Red Myrtle, Corsica: Scent is similar to Eucalyptus but more delicate. Suitable for children or elders. Dilute to 3% in carrier for chest massage to ease coughs and colds. Vapors also help open sinuses. Astringent properties useful in treating acne, large pores, oily skin and hemorrhoids. Emotionally, it increses composure, decreases despair. Apply as a hot compress to abdomen to help relieve menstrual cramps.
  • Neroli, Tunisia: Its hauntingly erotic scent and ability to lift even the darkest moods have guaranteed it a special place among aphrodisiacs. Said to promote cell regeneration and skin elasticity when mixed in with a carrier oil or cream. Has been clinically shown to reduce heart palpitations when mixed in a carrier and massaged onto the feet. A most effective antidepressant.
  • Niaouli, Australia: A non-irritating and powerful antiseptic with properties similar to Tea Tree. Good in a diffuser for all types of respiratory tract infections. Often used as a skin treatment prior to radiation therapy to help prevent burns. Promotes wound healing... add 5-6 drops to 1/2 pint of boiled water to treat cuts and scrapes.
  • Nutmeg, Indonesia: As an inhalative it reduces frigidity and impotence, invigorates the mind and helps create colorful, intense dreams. In a massage blend its warming properties loosens tight muscles, reduce aches and pains. Soft, seductive fragrance dispels anxiety and fear.
  • Bitter Orange, Italy: An extraordinary uplifting and evocative fragrance. Bitter Orange is not at all bitter, it's romantic and emotional. The aroma is fuller than Neroli (orange blossoms) dryer than Sweet Orange (fresh-peeled fruit) with just a hint of mystery.
  • Blood Orange, Italy: Happy, upbeat oil that quells anxiety and eases insomnia with mildly sedative effect. Stimulates the digestive tract, enhances peristalsis and promotes bowel evacuation when you mix 7 drops of Blood Orange with 3 drops of Ylang Ylang and Lavender in 1 ounce of Jojoba and apply in a circular motion to the abdoman.
  • Sweet Orange, USA: Great diffuser oil. Creates a "sunshine" effect that makes you feel good no matter what's going on. Helps people unwind and relax and quiets even the most rambunctious kid. Terrific in potpourris and promanders, particularly at holidays.
  • Oregano, Turkey: Strong antiseptic. Helps loosen phlegm and calm coughing spells. Said to be useful in treating cellulite, nail fungus and a host of other minor ailments.
  • Palmarosa, India: Very good as a stress reliever when used in a bath or mixed with Lavender or Marjoram. When used in a facial oil, it stimulates sebum production and helps balance the skin. Said to stimulate cell regeneration.
  • Patchouli, Indonesia: Earthy, sweet, penetrating fragrance that gets better and better over the years. Excellent for skin care. Treats cracked, weeping sores, skin allergies, dry or itchy patches, toenail fungus, scars and inflammations. Quiets anxiety and eases feelings of neglect and ennui. Mitigates fears about sex when you blend equal parts of Patchouli and Sweet Orange for inhalation or diffusion. Unique among all oils in as much as people either love it or hate it... there's no middle ground.
