  • Eucalyptus Globus, Spain: Most common and least expensive variety of Eucalyptus. Has the aroma that most people associate with this oil. Clean, sharp scent helps open nasal passages and clear sinus congestion. Great in massage blends for sore, stiff muscles. Anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal.
  • Sweet Fennel, Italy: Used in diffusers for chest congestion. Improves circulation and lymphatic drainage, helps with cellulite reduction when added to massage oils or lotion. Diuretic action promotes weight loss. For weight loss bath blend 5 drops Fennel with 3 drops each Cypress and Grapefruit and soak for 20 minutes.
  • Frankincense (CO2), Oman: Strong antiseptic properties. When used in a diffuser Frankincense reduces anxiety and tension by slowing and deepening breathing. As a compress or mixed into a facial oil, it has long been reputed to smooth wrinkles, rejuvenate tired skin and accelerate the healing of skin blemishes. Mix 4 drops of Frankincense, 3 drops of Rose Otto and 3 drops of Neroli into 2 tsp of Sweet Almond Oil and 1 tbs of Jojoba for a rejuvenating face oil.
  • Galbanum (CO2), Iran: Very blanacing inhalative. Helps calm erratic moods and feelings of anger. When mixed with a carrier and applied topically, Galbanum helps heal scar tissue and skin inflammations, tones the skin and reduces wrinkles. Used as a compress, it is effective against boils, acne and abscesses.
  • Rose Geranium, China: Mild skin tonic, astringent, helpful for all skin types. Balances production of natural skin oils (sebum) and aids in reduction of cellulite when added to a massage blend. Reported to help ease discomfort of varicose veins when massaged in upward strokes twice a day over the affected area.
  • Pink Grapefruit, USA: Sparkling citrus aroma helps relieve migraine, PMS and performance stress. Stimulates appetite. Helps balance emotions and brighten dark depressive moods. Use in small amounts in bath or blends as a skin toner.
  • Guiacwood, Paraguay: Most often used in massage blends where it is considered a strong sweat generator. Reduces stress and tension. Soothes swollen, injured tissue, loosens tight muscles, eases pain of arthritis and rheumatism.
  • Hay, France: With a fragrance like new-mown field grass, Hay is very useful in perfume blends and fragrances. Blend with Eucalyptus Citriodora and Nutmeg for a massage oil that eases sore muscles and joints.
  • Honey, absolute, Canada: Not truly an essential oil but gleaned directly from honeycombs. Warm and wonderful fragrance. Relaxing, romantic. Now used mainly in perfume blends and bath/body products. Its natural sedative properties will soon make it a new staple for aromatherapy blends and treatments.
