The Following is a Partial List of Essential Oils and their Uses. Some we have used, some not, Some are for Soaps and Lotions, Some for Massage & Bath Oils, still other are for Inhallants.

  • Allspice Berry, Jamaica: Uplifting, spicy fragrance is beneficial for depression, nervous tension and exhaustion. Small amounts in a massage blend can help eas musclespasms, as well as the pain and stiffness of arthritis. Used in a diffuser for sinus relief.
  • Amyris, Haiti: Similar in fragrance to Sandalwood but not botanically related. Extensively used in soap, perfume and blends as a fixative and substitute fragrance. Calming, reduces stress and tension, relieves anxiety, improves mental clarity.
  • Sweet Basil, Linalool, Egypt: Basil is energizing, elevating and anti-depressive. Helps concentration and memory. Has traditional warm spicy frangrance and has shown good results with ADD and ADHD children when inhaled to help the mind focus on intellectural tasks.
  • Bay Laurel, Crete: The fragrance of Bay Laurel lifts the spirits, promotes confidence, heightens intuition, stimulates creativity. It is also reported to help rapidly reduce swollen lymph nodes when applied directly to affected areas. Stimulating in small does and sedative in larger doses.
  • Absolute Benzoin, Thailand: Thick pungent resin. Uplifting vanilla aroma. Aides cracked, rough skin when mixed with a cream or carrier. As an inhallant it reduces tension, stress and depression. Beneficial for frostbite, burns, psoriasis, exzema and acne.
  • Bergamot, Italy: Calming and uplifting with a delicate citrus aroma. Great in a diffuser, bath or massage for anxiety, depression and nervous tension.
  • Sweet Birch, USA: Analgesic. Strong wintergreen aroma. Use in carrier as rub for tendinitis and muscular pains.
  • Buddha Wood, Australia: Masculine, earthy aroma. Centers emotions and strengthens sensibilities. Heightens creativity and sexuality.
  • Cabreuva, South Africa: Sweet, woody scent helps breathing and calms coughs. Reported to be an excellent treatment for cuts and healed scars.
  • White Camphor, Taiwan: Camphor stimulates respiration, helps clear chest congestion. Mood uplifting. Strong adrenal stimulant best used sparingly in blends with other oils. Beware of Yellow or Brown Camphor as they are considered toxic and carcinogenic.
